About Hauganes
Welcome to Hauganes!
Hauganes is a charming fishing village in the west coast of Eyjafjordur bay, approx. 25 min drive north of Akureyri.
The population of Hauganes is around 100 people who mainly work in the fish factory Ektafiskur, at the restaurant, at the Whale watching company, in the elementary school and in nearby towns.

Camping area Hauganes
Bring your Camping Van, trailer or tent and stay for a few days on the camping area in Hauganes, right by the Hot Tubs on the beach and within walking distance from the restaurant Baccalá bar.
Whale Watching
The oldest whale watching company in Iceland is located right on our pier and they can introduce you to these magnificent giants of the ocean.
